In search of that perfect smile, Leanne Abeyance made a decision she now bitterly regrets. After multiple dental surgeries abroad, the mother finds herself toothless, with only screws in her mouth, and struggling to raise the funds for a potentially life-saving procedure.
A private dentist in the UK made a startling discovery that shed light on the severity of the situation. Leanne's implants had pierced her sinuses and were lodged in her nose, a finding that has left her in excruciating pain and facing a hefty medical bill.
Leanne, a mother of two, journeyed abroad to replace her 13-year-old veneers with implants. Faced with a whopping £40,000 price tag in the UK, she jumped at the opportunity to have the work done in Turkey for just £8,000.
The dream soon turned into a nightmare as her body began to reject the foreign bodies. Initially, she experienced headaches, toothache, and a sinus infection. Tragically, her appearance drastically changed, with her nose swelling and then collapsing.
Doctors were perplexed and initially prescribed antibiotics. "I've never felt such pain in my life," Leanne told Mirror. "It's like I've been hit in the face with shards of glass and they've been smeared."

She added, "I've lost 12 kilos, and I feel like I'm failing as a mother to my two beautiful daughters."
