Best Buy Bones Recalls Bully Bites Over Salmonella Fears

Best Buy Bones, Inc. is recalling four lots of its Nature's Own Pet Chews Bully Bites 1 Pound pet treats due to potential Salmonella contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) confirmed the contamination and is overseeing the recall alongside the company. The affected lots, identified as 19379, 19380, 19381, and 19382, have a UPC code of 739598900750 and an expiration date of September 2027. These products were distributed from Minnesota to retail stores in Wisconsin after September 23. The FDA collected samples that tested positive for Salmonella on September 11, 2025. Best Buy Bones, Inc. has ceased production and distribution of the product as the FDA and the company continue investigating the contamination source. Pets with Salmonella infections may show lethargy, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. However, no illnesses in dogs have been reported to date. Healthy people infected with Salmonella may experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, and fever. Consumers who have the recalled product should stop using it and return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
