Community Blood Drive Scheduled in Canandaigua

Residents of the Canandaigua area have the opportunity to attend a community blood drive, organised by Senator Pam Helming in partnership with the American Red Cross and American Legion Post 256. The event is scheduled for August 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at American Legion Post 256, located at 454 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Eligible donors can schedule an appointment for the blood drive by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or visiting redcrossblood.org, using the sponsor code AmericanLegion256. Walk-ins are also welcome, though appointments will be prioritized.

The blood drive is of particular importance during the summer months, when donations often decrease. Each donation could potentially save up to three lives.
