Breast milk: A curious inquiry regarding its nature?

Mother juice, a relatively new term appearing on store shelves, is not the 'mother of all juices.' Instead, it refers to a specific type of direct juice extracted from fruits with high natural acid content, such as blackcurrant, elderberry, sea buckthorn, or cranberries.

This unique juice is produced by beverage manufacturers by adding water and sugar to mother juice. Despite the addition of these ingredients, mother juice remains a particularly pure direct juice from the first pressing, as it consists of 100% fruit without added sugar and water, as legally regulated.

The cloudy appearance of mother juice is due to the presence of valuable plant substances known as turbidity substances. These substances, according to Daniela Krehl, a nutrition expert at the consumer center, contribute to the health-promoting effects of mother juice. Turbidity substances in mother juice have an antioxidant or anti-inflammatory effect.

While mother juice is not suitable for consumption pure due to its high acid content, it has various uses in mixed beverages and recipes. It can be mixed into spritzers, added to smoothies, used in jams, sauces, or mixed drinks.

The Bavarian Consumer Center explains that mother juice is slightly cloudy in appearance, which indicates its purity and rich nutrient content. This high-quality, unprocessed product is rich in vitamins, including vitamins C, A, B, and E.

Despite the benefits of mother juice, the search results do not provide specific information about the companies that produce it. However, it's clear that this unique juice offers a nutritious and flavourful addition to a wide range of beverages and recipes.
