Busy Baby Mat Revolutionizes Mealtimes for Kids, Launches Kickstarter Campaign
Beth Fynbo, the innovative creator, launched a Kickstarter campaign in October 2018 for her unique product, the Busy Baby Mat. Aiming to raise $45,000, Beth sought to revolutionise mealtimes for young children and their parents.
The Busy Baby Mat, designed for kids aged five months and above, up to 2 years old, solves a common parenting challenge. It features spoons and toys that won't drop, preventing the need for constant picking up from the floor. The mat can be attached to high chairs, travel trays, or any non-porous surface, keeping toys in place and helping kids focus on their meals.
Crafted from safe, food-grade silicone, the mat is free of PVC, BPS, BPA, and phthalates. It's dishwasher and microwave safe, making it easy to clean and maintain. There are no known alternatives that offer the same functionality.
Beth appeared on Shark Tank seeking a $250,000 investment for a 5% ownership in Busy Baby. Lori offered $250,000 for a 20% share, but Beth was unwilling to give away more than 15% of her company, leading to no deal being struck.
Despite not securing an investment on Shark Tank, Busy Baby has expanded its product line to include a textured teether, a bungee bottle, and silicon placemats in various sizes. The Busy Baby Mat continues to provide a practical solution for parents, making mealtimes less stressful and more enjoyable for both parents and children.
