Charity Event at HHU: Fundraising Concert for Trube-Becker-Haus in Dusseldorf
The Düsseldorf Medical Chorus and Langenfeld choir VoiceArt are organising two benefit concerts on the 25th and 26th of April 2023, to support the construction of the Trube-Becker House. This centre, which is scheduled to open in mid-2026, will serve as a hub for child protection and interdisciplinary care for people affected by violence.
The concerts will take place at Auditorium 3A of Heinrich Heine University, Universitätsstraße 1. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and 7 pm respectively, with the performances starting at 6 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets for the concerts can be purchased in advance online in the VoiceArt ticket shop for 12 euros and reduced for 5 euros.
The Trube-Becker House, named after its benefactors, has been under construction for a year. It will unite the Forensic Medical Ambulance for Victims of Violence, the Social Pediatric Center, and the Childhood House Düsseldorf under one roof. Construction and equipment of the centre are largely funded by donations, and the proceeds from the benefit concerts will be used to support this cause.
The Medical Chorus and VoiceArt choirs have prepared a selection of songs for the concerts. The Medical Chorus will perform "Africa" (Toto), "Save The World/Don't You Worry Child" (Swedish House Mafia), and "Viva La Vida" (Coldplay). Meanwhile, the Langenfeld choir VoiceArt will perform "Skyfall" (Adele), "Take On Me" (A-ha), and "Days Like These" (Die Toten Hosen).
The Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf, Dr. Stephan Keller, has taken patronage for the concert. More information about donating to the Trube-Becker House can be found on the website [www.uniklinik-duesseldorf.de/tbh]. A brochure with information about donating to the Trube-Becker House is also available. Further donations can be made to the University Hospital Düsseldorf for the Trube-Becker House.
Despite extensive searches, there are no publicly available search results from August 2025 that specifically mention the progress or funding status of the Trube-Becker House at Düsseldorf University Hospital. If you require precise and current information, it is recommended to contact Düsseldorf University Hospital directly or consult specialized press releases or official communications from the hospital or affiliated child protection organisations.
These concerts promise to be a memorable event, bringing together music and a noble cause. So, mark your calendars and secure your tickets for a night of enchanting music and a chance to contribute towards a safer and better future for children affected by violence.
- The funds raised from these concerts will aid in providing science-based interventions and health-and-wellness programs, including mental-health therapies and treatments, at the Trube-Becker House.
- In addition to the proceeds from the concerts, donations can be made towards the construction and equipping of the Trube-Becker House, which will offer interdisciplinary care for people affected by violence, promoting overall wellness and mental health.
