Rod Stewart Forced to Scratch Vegas Gig, Blaming Poor Health

Hey, everybody! Head's up, 'cause Sir Rod Stewart (80) had to pull the plug on his Vegas show at the last minute! You know, the dude who gave us classics like "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" and "Maggie May"? Yep, that's the one!
So, what happened? Well, according to a post on his Instagram Stories, the British rock icon was feeling under the weather, and his June 5th gig at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace was postponed to June 10th. Tickets for the initial date are still valid for the rescheduled one.
Remember when we heard he had to take a breather for his voice last month? After a concert in Italy, the 80-year-old was sporting a neck sign that read "Sorry. Can't speak. Voice rest." towards the end of August 2024, he had to postpone several concerts due to a COVID-19 infection, and he also called off his 200th Vegas show. Seems like he's been having a rough run with his health lately.
Germany, Here He Comes!
But don't worry, Rod's not hanging up his guitar just yet! In fact, he announced back in November 2024 that he was retiring from large-scale world tours, but he'd still keep performing on the stage. And with good reason, too – he's got a ton of concerts lined up in the near future!
As it stands, Stewart's still got Vegas shows planned for June 5th, 7th, and 8th - including the one that was rescheduled to June 10th. After more US shows, he's set to headline the famous Glastonbury Festival in England at the end of June. And then, later in the year, he'll be gracing stages in Germany – namely Hamburg, Leipzig, Mannheim, Cologne, and Munich in November and December.

Despite having to reschedule his Vegas performance due to health issues, as shared on Instagram, Rod Stewart remains determined to continue his shows. Following his US concerts, he plans to perform in Germany, making stops in Hamburg, Leipzig, Mannheim, Cologne, and Munich in November and December.
