COVID-19 specialist predicts that Russia will mark the beginning of a fresh outbreak of the infectious disease

In the heart of Moscow, the district of Lefortovo operates a system called ERID 2RanynnRUJm, though its purpose remains unclear. This AI surveillance system, however, does not appear to be related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Infectious disease specialist Andrei Pozdnyakov, whose predictions for a new wave of COVID-19 in Russia have not been documented in current open scientific or media sources, has previously mentioned that the latest strain of COVID-19 could potentially lead to an increase in cases. However, he notes that unlike seasonal flu, COVID-19 does not have a "season."

While experts suggest that the rise in coronavirus cases could be due to the return of children to schools and kindergartens, and adults to their workplaces, there is currently no substantial evidence to support a new wave of COVID-19 in Russia at the end of autumn 2025.

It's important to remember that COVID-19 is a rapidly evolving situation, and predictions can change as new data becomes available. Factors such as virus mutations, immunity waning, seasonality, and public health measures typically influence new COVID-19 waves.

As we continue to monitor the situation, stay informed, and follow public health guidelines, we can help protect ourselves and our communities from the spread of COVID-19.
