After discovering melanoma a few weeks before her 28th birthday, Patrice, wife of TV presenter Daniel Aminati (51), has been open about her cancer fight on Instagram. With 159,000 followers, she continues to share her journey, albeit filled with unexpected twists.

Her health condition took a turn for the worse once again, and in an interview with Die Zeit, she admitted, "Stage 4 cancer, no longer curable."

Metastases Spread Far and Wide

Shortly after her first surgery in summer 2023, metastases were found in multiple organs including the lungs, lymph nodes, brain, eye, bones, liver, and adrenal gland. The cancer originated from a primary tumor on her neck and swiftly spread to various parts of her body.

A Glimmer of Hope: Metastasis-Free for Six Months

In a silver lining, six months after starting her second cancer therapy, Patrice shared the wonderful news on September 18, 2024, "Current status: No metastases, no tumor markers." Although there was still a need to take 21 tablets daily and undergo constant monitoring for at least two years, her supporters rejoiced at the good news.

New Metastases Surface: Palliative Care Begins

Sadly, in March 2025, Patrice received devastating news: more metastases had formed in several organs. She planned to undergo irradiation to the affected area in the coming weeks and would now be undergoing palliative care.

Despite this setback, she and Daniel remain optimistic. In interviews with Gala and Die Zeit, she shared her dreams of finding new medication that would replace her current treatment, potentially giving her more time and maybe even another child.
