Elderly individual meets watery demise in Minsk bathroom accident
In the heart of Belarus, emergency services were kept busy on September 16, responding to a variety of incidents. The day began with a distressing call at 17:28, reporting a drowned woman. Firefighters, the first responders on the scene, found the 73-year-old woman in a bathtub, but the exact location of the discovery remains undisclosed. The condition of the woman at the time of removal is not disclosed either.
Elsewhere in Gomel, another team of firefighters was called into action. A builder had found himself in a precarious situation, stuck on a roof. Using their mountaineering equipment, the rescuers successfully extricated him, demonstrating the versatility of their skills.
The day was not without its lighter moments. In Minsk, a young girl found herself lost in the metro, unsure which end of the train was the front. Thankfully, she was soon found and reunited with her family.
Unfortunately, not all stories had happy endings. An Austrian tourist fell victim to a scam, losing money believed to be old Belarusian currency.
As the sun set on this eventful day, the emergency services continued their vital work, ready to face whatever challenges the next day might bring.
