The Tabalingo Association, based in Stolberg, Germany, recently secured third place in the Health category of the annual ZukunftsWege Award. The prestigious ceremony took place in Frankfurt on Thursday evening, and was attended by the association's team members Marius Gärtner, Eric Claßen, and Johanna Rohs.

The ZukunftsWege Award honours non-profit organisations nationwide that facilitate the teams login transition into training and employment for young people with social or health disadvantages. This year's ceremony was sponsored by the Commerzbank Foundation and was reported by local reporters on the scene.

Marius Gärtner and Eric Claßen, who were both educated in special needs schools, play crucial roles within the Tabalingo teams. They maintain the grounds and handle household tasks at the association, as well as assisting as co-trainers in basketball. Both are permanently employed, full-time at the Tabalingo Association.

Johanna Rohs, who has Down syndrome, is currently part of the Tabalingo teams and helps manage the association's social media presence. She also hopes to secure a position with Tabalingo in the future. Johanna currently works at the Lebenshilfe workshop.

The Tabalingo Association offers sports and cultural activities for individuals with and without disabilities, with the aim of promoting inclusion and fostering a sense of community. The managing person of Tabalingo e.V., who accepted the ZukunftsWege Award in Frankfurt on Thursday evening, is not named in the available search results. Markus Schnorrenberg, Tabalingo's managing director, was present at the ceremony.

The story about Tabalingo will be covered on television on 19 September 2025 at 7:30 PM, and will also be featured on Lokalzeit aus Aachen on the same date. For more information about the Tabalingo Association, visit their website.
