The PCST Network, a platform dedicated to promoting science, technology, and innovation for sustainable development, has recently announced the election of new members to its Scientific Committee and Executive Board.

The first order of business at the Executive Board meeting, attended by all its members and the head of the Scientific Committee, was the election of members for the Scientific Committee. A total of 21 applications were received, and after careful consideration, 16 members were selected. Among the new additions are Dr. Azra Sinanović from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Andreas Schierling from Germany, Dr. Alvija Šalaševičienė from Lithuania, Dr. Dražen Lušić from Croatia, Prof. Ph.D. Andreas Thrasyvoulou from Greece, Prof. Ph.D. Chrysula Kyprianovska from Macedonia, and Soraya Falcão from Portugal.

The Executive Board also welcomed new members from various Balkan countries and beyond. These include Serbia's prof. Ph.D. Dušanka Milojković Opsenica, Romania's dr. Roxana Spulber, Slovakia's Juraj Majtan, Serbia's Ivan Smajlović, Romania's dr. Daniel Christian Popovici, Slovenia's dr. Nataša Lilek, and Ukraine's dr. Dmytro Yanovych.

In addition to these elections, the PCST Network also announced its participation in the VII Beekeeping Fair of the Southeast Balkans in Vranje, Serbia, on September 21, 2024. The European Beekeeping Association will be a co-organizer at this event. A round table with the presidents of the website and beekeeping associations from Balkan countries will be held during the Fair.

Furthermore, a conference in Brussels is to be prepared, and the members of the Executive Board will submit their proposals for this conference to Mrs. Urški Ratajc. The exact names of the newly elected members of the PCST Network Scientific Committee for the 2025–2027 term have not been explicitly named in the available search results, but a message from the new PCST president welcomes the incoming committee.

These changes mark an exciting new chapter for the PCST Network as it continues to work towards promoting sustainable development through science, technology, and innovation.
