Children's Therapy Boat Launches: A Half-Million Euros in Donations Secured - Funds raised enable therapy boat voyage for young passengers, amounting to 600,000 euros

Get ready for a unique therapeutic experience! The Aquamarin, a therapy boat for kids in Potsdam, has officially launched, offering nature-based treatment for children and adolescents with psychological issues. According to the Ernst von Bergmann Clinic spokesperson, a whopping 600,000 euros were raised through donations for this innovative project.

Mental health isn't just about physical well-being, Brandenburg's Minister-President Dietmar Woidke (SPD) noted at the launch ceremony. He stressed how mental health should never be underestimated, especially in the formative years. Wishing the new boat a steady sail, he said, "May the Aquamarin always have a hand's breadth of water under its keel."

The event was hosted by none other than popular entertainer, Günther Jauch.

Some high-profile donors include rapper Kontra K, who contributed 50,000 euros, singer Annette Humpe, former Bild editor-in-chief Kai Diekmann, and comedian Eckart von Hirschhausen.

Starting next week, children and adolescents from Ketzin harbor can embark on their journey to healing with professional therapists. The Aquamarin boasts 10 therapy spots. Plans for a second boat are in the works to ensure more children can benefit from this nature-based treatment. However, the fundraising journey is far from over.

It's worth noting that Potsdam, with its picturesque waterways, is no stranger to therapeutic activities. However, information on a specific children's therapy boat project is currently scant. If such a project exists, it would likely aim to provide a calming environment and structured therapeutic activities to help children and adolescents with psychological issues cope more effectively. Water-based activities can be particularly effective in promoting relaxation and reducing stress. For more detailed insights, local sources or press releases would be necessary.
