In Omsk, Two New Blood Donation Centers Open:
Get ready, Omsk! Two new blood donation centers are set to start operation, as announced on May 11, 2025, by the Health Department of Omsk Region. The new centers, "Amurskiy" and "Levoberezhnyy", will be based on the equipped blood donation units of the Clinical Oncology Dispensary (Amurskiy) and Regional Hospital No 1 (Levoberezhnyy).
The medical personnel of these units, staffed by 17 employees, have already undergone retraining and are ready to operate as part of the Blood Center.
Starting May 12, the Amurskiy center will commence operations at 9, Zavertyayeva Street, Building 1. The Levoberezhnyy center, located at 9, Perelet Street, will start accepting donors from May 14.
Daily blood and component collection will take place, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. It's predicted that each new center will accept at least 25 donors daily.
These new centers offer convenience to donors, allowing them to donate blood near their homes or workplaces, saving time, and helping the Blood Service maintain its roster of regular donors.
Currently, the functions of blood component collection, processing, and distribution of medical organizations in Omsk Region are performed by five Blood Center branches in Omsk and two in the region.
