Increased focus on preventing obesity among youth in Ludwigsburg is on the rise
The Nutrition Center Middle Neckar is organising a series of parent-child workshops designed to promote enjoyment, balance, and appreciation for regional and seasonal foods. The goal is to create family-friendly, tasty, and healthy meals while helping prevent nutrition-related diseases and maintaining a healthy body at any age.
Two upcoming workshops are scheduled. The first, "Colorful and Balanced Family Kitchen," will take place on September 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Children aged 6 and above, along with their parents, will prepare dishes from regional and seasonal ingredients. The second workshop, "Delicious Snacks and Colorful Meals," is set for Monday, November 10, 2025, also from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Registration for these workshops can be done through the Nutrition Center Middle Neckar's office by phone at 07141 144 2701 or by email at ernaehrung@unsere-website.
The workshops offer an immersive experience, with tasted meals being part of the programme. Examples of dishes include colorful vegetable platters and homemade spreads. The children will be involved in creating small, creative meals and snacks from regional ingredients.
In addition to these workshops, the Nutrition Center Middle Neckar supports a working group established in 2024 in Ludwigsburg, focusing on the prevention of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents. This group has made significant progress in creating free exercise and prevention programs for overweight and obese children and adolescents. A homepage subpage titled "Obesity and Obesity in Children and Adolescents" has been launched on their platform this year, providing various information, helpful tips, and references to free exercise offers.
While the group's name is not explicitly mentioned in the available search results, it is important to note that prevention efforts are organized by the Health Promotion and Health Planning Department of the Ludwigsburg District Office. This department conducts free parent-child workshops on nutrition as part of this initiative.
