The Women in Business Award, part of the South African Future Trust Awards, is set to honour female entrepreneurs who are making significant strides in various fields, including technology, social entrepreneurship, and youth entrepreneurship.

Now in its second year, the Women in Business Award is sponsored by Standard Bank and forms a crucial part of the annual South African Future Trust Awards. These awards aim to celebrate and support the growth and success of female entrepreneurs in South Africa, recognising their contributions to the country's economic growth.

The Women in Business Award is one of six distinct categories in the South African Future Trust Awards, the others being Youth Entrepreneur, Social Entrepreneur, Tech Entrepreneur, Most Innovative Ideas, and Optimised Operating Model (OOM) Impact.

This year, the Women in Business Award will celebrate resilience, innovation, and leadership, with the winner receiving a prize worth R500,000. This includes R250,000 in cash to aid business growth and a tailored R250,000 support package designed to enhance the business.

The award honours female entrepreneurs who push through challenges and overcome obstacles, demonstrating resilience in overcoming barriers. The recipients are acknowledged for their role in driving change and innovation in their industries, as well as for fostering inclusivity and supporting other women in the business world.
