"Live Comfortably and Independently at Home with Smart Technology"
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Langenfeld ZWAR-Network is hosting a lecture at the Old Parish Hall at St. Josef (Josefstraße 6), starting at 7 PM. The event, titled "How can modern technology help us live longer, safer, and more independently in our own homes?", is open to all interested parties and admission is free.
The Langenfeld ZWAR-Network, a community of six groups, encourages its members to become active together and supports local area work. The network offers networking opportunities for people in the "Between Work and Retirement" phase, providing a platform for people to support each other.
The speaker for the lecture is Norman Bartusch, Managing Director of the SmartHome Initiative Germany e.V., a non-profit organisation dedicated to educating and connecting people around smart technologies.
During the lecture, Norman Bartusch will provide practical insights and demonstrations of example applications such as emergency call systems, intelligent household controls, and mobility support. The lecture will also showcase reminder aids as part of its demonstrations.
The SmartHome Initiative Germany e.V. aims to help individuals live longer, safer, and more independently in their own homes using modern technology. For more information about the ZWAR groups, visit the city's website: https://www.ourwebsite/Pages/ZWAR-Groups.html
