Montreal mother undergoing further psychiatric assessment following child abandonment allegations
A psychiatric evaluation for a 34-year-old Montreal mother, who is facing charges of criminal negligence causing bodily harm and unlawful abandonment of a child, has been extended by 30 days. The assessment is taking place at a Montreal psychiatric hospital and was ordered by a Quebec court judge.
