New Sweat App Workout Targets Obliques for Better Posture and Back Health

A new workout targeting the obliques, the side muscles of the abdomen, has been created by Britany Williams, a trainer from the Sweat app. This workout aims to strengthen these crucial muscles, helping to prevent back pain and improve posture. The workout consists of seven exercises, with the option to choose four or five for a circuit that is repeated four times.

The obliques, part of the mid-body core muscles, include both internal and external obliques. They play a vital role in supporting the lower back and maintaining posture. Each exercise in the circuit is performed for 12 repetitions. The workout includes a variety of dumbbell-based moves to target these muscles effectively. Some of the exercises include the side plank, Russian twists, and side crunches. These exercises not only strengthen the obliques but also improve the body's ability to twist and resist lateral movement.

Britany Williams' oblique workout is a valuable addition to any fitness routine. By targeting these often-neglected muscles, the workout helps to improve posture, prevent lower back pain, and enhance overall core strength. Incorporating this workout into your exercise regimen can lead to significant benefits for your back health and overall fitness.
