New Think Tank Lab Launches to Boost German Think Tanks

The German think tank landscape is set to benefit from a new initiative, the Think Tank Lab. Led by Roderick Kefferpütz, Senior Analyst at MERICS, and Claire Luzia Leifert, Head of the Impact & Innovation Lab at DGAP, the lab aims to support the advancement of think tanks through collaboration and shared knowledge.

The Think Tank Lab is structured around three key pillars. Firstly, the Community of Practice fosters peer learning and cooperation among think tanks through regular events and a flagship conference. Secondly, the Think Tank School offers further training for think tank staff, helping them expand their skills and networks. Lastly, the Think Tank Toolbox shares findings, good practices, and useful information to increase collective impact.

The lab's approach is co-creative, learning from experiences and building new knowledge together. It is designed to address both external and internal challenges faced by think tanks. The authors invite think tankers to get in touch with ideas, challenges, or to join the Think Tank School.

The Think Tank Lab, led by Roderick Kefferpütz and Claire Luzia Leifert, is poised to significantly impact the German think tank landscape. By encouraging cooperation, providing training, and sharing knowledge, the lab aims to help think tanks overcome challenges and increase their collective impact.
