On New Year's Eve, firefighters and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) confirm no remarkable incidents occurred.

In the bustling town of Pforzheim, the local fire department and the German Red Cross (DRK) were kept busy on New Year's Eve, handling a series of incidents.

The Pforzheim Professional Fire Department, bolstered by off-duty officers and volunteers, swiftly extinguished a blaze in a garden house in the Sonnenhof area. The integrated control centre was reinforced with an additional professional firefighter dispatcher for the New Year's period, ensuring a smooth response to emergencies.

One such emergency was a fire alarm at a local clinic, which the fire department investigated on New Year's Eve but found no cause for concern. Fortunately, no unusual deployments were reported during the night, and there was no increase in incidents compared to previous years.

Two balcony fires broke out in the city, but thankfully, no injuries were reported in either incident. The quick action of the emergency services ensured that a carport fire did not spread to an adjacent house.

In total, the Pforzheim Fire Department dealt with eight small fires and one false fire alarm on New Year's Eve. While specific details about key incidents are yet to be disclosed, the department managed to keep the town safe during the celebrations.

Meanwhile, the local chapter of the DRK reported relatively few alcohol-related incidents on New Year's Eve. Out of six incidents reported, two patients were treated on-site, two required hospital transport, and one person refused to go to the hospital.

As local news outlets continue to report on the New Year's Eve celebrations, more details about the response of the Pforzheim Fire Department and the DRK may become available. For now, it is clear that both organisations played a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable New Year for the residents of Pforzheim.

The Pforzheim Professional Fire Department, in addition to their regular duties, also investigated a potential fire threat at a local health-and-wellness facility on New Year's Eve, ensuring the safety of the patients and staff. The German Red Cross (DRK), during the same period, reported fewer alcohol-related incidents compared to previous years, enhancing the health-and-wellness and overall safety of the town's residents.
