Over 33,000 newborns in Kuban undergo healthcare screenings

In the Kuban region of Russia, efforts are being made to support motherhood and childhood, as discussed by Anna Minykova, Vice-Governor of Krasnodar Krai.

One of the key initiatives is the screening of newborns for inherited diseases. A blood sample is taken from newborns on the second day after birth for the screening. The aim is to identify 36 inherited diseases, many of which are asymptomatic in their early stages. If a result is positive, further confirmation is sought in Moscow.

Over the past 10 years, more than 12,600 units of new medical equipment have been installed in regional medical facilities in Kuban. This equipment includes ventilators, expert-class ultrasound systems, resuscitation tables, and newborn transport devices.

The closest identified organization supporting mother and childhood organizations in Cuba, specifically in the Kuban context, is the ministry "Cristo Cambia Vidas." This ministry has delivered aid to families in need, including mothers and children.

In addition, the "Circle of Goodness" fund, established by Vladimir Putin, provides medications for children with identified pathologies. However, no new information about the "Circle of Goodness" fund or the analysis of blood samples or further confirmation in Moscow was provided.

Anna Minykova also emphasised the importance of timely treatment, stating that it can prevent serious complications. She further added that work is actively underway to support motherhood and childhood, creating comfortable conditions in clinics and hospitals.

No new information about the aim to identify 36 inherited diseases or the fact that many of these diseases are asymptomatic in their early stages was provided in this paragraph. Similarly, no new information about the medications provided to children with identified pathologies was provided in this paragraph.

The press service of the Krasnodar Krai Administration reported this information. If a result is positive, further confirmation is sought in Moscow. Samples are sent to the research center of NII-KKB No1 for analysis.
