Ozzy Osbourne Cancels Appearance at Mad Monster Party Due to Health Issues
In a recent update, Sharon Osbourne, wife of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, announced that the musician would be unable to travel and attend the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix. This news comes after Ozzy underwent multiple surgeries on his back following a fall.
Ozzy, who was diagnosed with a mild form of Parkinson's disease in 2003, has been open about his battle with the disease in recent years. He spoke publicly about his diagnosis in 2020, revealing that his Parkinson's has contributed to visible symptoms and public challenges.
The Mad Monster Party, which focuses on horror and science fiction, had scheduled Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne for a meet and greet event. Tickets for the event cost $666. Anyone who had purchased tickets for the meet and greet will receive a refund. Sharon Osbourne also decided not to attend the event.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Ozzy spoke about the complications he faced during his surgeries. He mentioned that the second surgery he had last year went drastically wrong and left him crippled. The rod in his spine, a result of one of the surgeries, affects his balance.
Ozzy also mentioned that he gets blamed for Parkinson's symptoms whenever he scratches his body. He expressed that he doesn't think much about Parkinson's disease, focusing instead on living his life to the fullest.
In light of Ozzy's absence, their daughter, Kelly Osbourne, also decided not to attend the Mad Monster Party. Jack Osbourne, another member of the Osbourne family, will represent them at the event.
Our thoughts are with Ozzy and his family during this difficult time. We hope for his speedy recovery and look forward to his return to the music scene.
