Headline: Edition Hope of Prints for Wildlife Fundraising Initiative Launches to Counteract Global Conservation Funding Crisis
The wildlife photography community is coming together to address the urgent crisis of widespread withdrawal of critical funding for wildlife and conservation programs globally. On August 21, 2025, Prints for Wildlife will return with a new edition called Edition Hope, a fundraising initiative that aims to counteract the threat posed by abrupt funding cuts that jeopardize years of progress in protecting biodiversity, ecosystems, and the communities dependent on them.
Uniting Leading Wildlife Photographers
Over 200 leading wildlife and nature photographers have donated limited-edition prints for the sale, each available for $125. All net proceeds from the sale will go directly to Conservation International, a global non-profit working in more than 100 countries to restore forests, protect oceans, conserve biodiversity, and promote sustainable livelihoods.
Building a Sense of Community
Prints for Wildlife serves as a way for people to act collectively in the face of mounting conservation threats. It creates a sense of community, uniting hundreds of photographers and thousands of supporters, and fosters connection and collective action amid environmental challenges.
Inspiring Hope and Raising Awareness
The photographic prints featured in this year's sale demonstrate the very best of wildlife photography, from all corners of the globe. They showcase the ability of photography to inspire, connect, and drive tangible change. By leveraging the power of photography and community engagement, Prints for Wildlife seeks not only to raise funds but also to raise consciousness, inspire hope, and foster connection and collective action amid environmental challenges.
Continuing Success
Since its launch in 2020, Prints for Wildlife has raised over $2.1 million for conservation projects. This approach directly addresses the financial gap created by funding withdrawals by mobilizing public support and resources in a creative, visible way.
A Call to Action
Dr. M. Sanjayan, CEO of Conservation International, stated that these prints offer a chance to bring nature into our homes while contributing meaningfully to its protection. The fundraiser runs for one month only, closing on September 21, 2025. For more information about the initiative, visit the official Prints for Wildlife website.
