Prearranged second annual event for women's cycling set for July.

The Liv Women's Cycling Day, an exciting event in the cycling calendar, features the Women's Solidarity Ride - a free, registered event that brings together cyclists of all levels.

Taking place on the 18th of July, the Women's Solidarity Ride covers a distance of 11 kilometres, which is equivalent to two laps around the Biķernieki track. The event, open to both women and male supporters, starts at 18:30. Registration is required in advance by the 7th of July, and participation is without charge.

Bicycle helmets are mandatory for the safety of all participants. An optional dress code encourages participants to wear pink clothing or accessories to show solidarity. The event aims to unite professional cyclists and all women who cycle for leisure or pleasure, welcoming diverse generations and women's teams from workplaces.

A special prize is awarded to the most successful team, adding a competitive edge to the ride. The event is organised by the Latvian Cycling Girls, an amateur women's cycling club that promotes female cycling and an active lifestyle in Latvia. More details about the event program and registration can be found at bulta.lv.

The Latvian Cycling Girls club, which has been developing the female cycling community in Latvia for five years, encourages women of different generations to participate in their events. The club's mission is to promote respectful dialogue in society and support Latvian amateur cyclists in mountain biking, road racing, and other cycling disciplines.

The Women's Solidarity Ride is just one of the activities organised by the Latvian Cycling Girls club. Sveta Dreimane, the head of the club, stated that the goal of the event is to unite professional cyclists and women who cycle for leisure and pleasure. The club welcomes women of different generations to participate and encourages teamwork and camaraderie among its members.

For those looking for a mountain biking experience, the Liv A-Line event at Crankworx Whistler on August 10, 2025, offers a separate women’s mountain bike freeride session. Registration for this event opens on July 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM PST. Participants require mountain bike experience, a full-face helmet, and a valid bike park pass. Some lift tickets will be provided on a first-come basis at check-in.
