The Walldorf/Werra Volunteer Fire Department is excited to announce their Firefighter Festival, taking place on August 15th and 16th, 2025. The event warmly invites everyone to attend.
The festival kicks off with an Open House Day on Friday afternoon, offering guided tours of the new fire station. These tours will provide a deeper insight into the volunteer fire department and their operations. DJ Igor will provide musical entertainment from 5 PM onwards during the Open House Day.
On Friday evening, starting at 6 PM, an evening hot party will commence. Visitors can enjoy this event free of charge, with Glow tattoos available for added fun. DJ Igor will continue to entertain the crowd throughout the evening.
Saturday's highlights include the official inauguration of the new fire station, starting at 3 PM. Coffee and cake will be served during the inauguration, accompanied by the melodious tunes of the Metzelsers Brass Band.
In addition to these events, there will be plenty of activities for children, such as fire truck rides and a bouncy castle. Information booths will also be set up, offering visitors details about the volunteer work of the emergency services.

In the spirit of the Firefighter Festival, a diverse collection of health-and-wellness activities and fitness-and-exercise events will be integrated. On Saturday, visitors can participate in Science Under the Sky, an interactive session showcasing the science behind firefighting and emergency services technology.
