Radio Hauraki's 'Day in Loo' Event Aims to Shine Light on Bowel Cancer

Radio Hauraki is set to host a unique fundraising event, 'Day in Loo', on Wednesday 18 June, from 6am to 6pm. The event, held in Eden Park's changing sheds, renamed 'the bowels of Eden Park' for the day, aims to raise awareness and funds for Bowel Cancer NZ.

All proceeds will go to the 100% community-funded charity, which sees eight Kiwis diagnosed with bowel cancer daily. The event promises a light-hearted approach, 'Good Sports Talking Sh*t', with well-known Kiwis, including sporting legends Sean Fitzpatrick, Ian Jones, and Michael Jones, and comedians taking part.

Todd Campbell, Radio Hauraki's Content Director, hopes the event will be a success, saying they want to 'knock this out of the park' for Bowel Cancer NZ. Dai Henwood ONZM, diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic bowel cancer in 2020, will also attend. Peter Huskinson, Bowel Cancer NZ CEO, appreciates Radio Hauraki's dedication to spreading awareness of the disease. Jeremy Wells, Radio Hauraki Breakfast host, looks forward to broadcasting from the unusual venue.

The 'Day in Loo' event promises to be an entertaining and meaningful way to raise funds and awareness for Bowel Cancer NZ. With a stellar lineup of Kiwi personalities and Radio Hauraki's commitment, the event is set to make a significant impact.
