Second Day of Med-Tech Innovation Conference: Panel Discussions and Workshops

The Med-Tech Innovation Conference 2025, set to take place from October 5–8 in San Diego, promises to be an insightful and engaging event for professionals in the health technology sector. The conference is part of the Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2025 and features two dynamic stages: the Med-Tech Innovation Stage and the Med-Tech Insights Stage.

On the first day of the conference, the Insights Stage will host a panel session on sustainability in health technology, moderated by Helen Compton. The session will be followed by several talks, including Richard Williams from Healome Therapeutics Ltd discussing empowering patients with ocular surface conditions, and David Lawson, Director of Medical Technology at the Department of Health and Social Care, speaking about enabling innovation adoption.

Meanwhile, on the Innovation Stage, David Adlam, Co-Inventor and Chief Medical Officer at Intervent Cardio, will speak about "PAL: The PericardiAL Balloon Support Device from Intervent Cardio Ltd." at 15:00 - 15:10.

The second day of the conference will feature talks by Neil Stevens, Managing Director of Predictive Health Intelligence, speaking about a "Data-Driven Approach to Ending the Late Diagnosis of Liver Disease," and Dr. Hrand Mamigonian, CTO of ScanSensor, discussing "OPeF. Optical and Electrical Field Technology: A Novel Smarter Way to Help Detect Skin Cancer and Melanoma."

Richard Carter, CTO of Proximie, will speak on the Insights Stage about data-driven healthcare transformation, while Lesley Plön, from Johner Institut GmbH, will discuss best practices for regulatory roles in medical device market access. Stuart Grant, Principal Consultant at Archetype MedTech Ltd, will speak on the Insights Stage about hidden pitfalls to market approval in MedTech.

Lastly, Dr. Ronnie Bose, Head of Device Development at Zühlke Engineering, will speak about "Engineering the Extraordinary: What Next-Gen MedTech at Zühlke Looks Like." Richard Arm, Senior Research Fellow at Nottingham Trent University, will speak on the Insights Stage about synthetic soft tissues for surgical training.
