Shadyside Noodlehead Faces Consumer Health Alert Twice Within a Month

In the heart of Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighbourhood, Noodlehead, a popular Thai-inspired eatery, has found itself under scrutiny once again. The Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) has issued a consumer alert on their website, marking the second time in less than a month that the restaurant has been flagged for health code violations.

The latest consumer alert was posted on Monday, following multiple complaints from customers who reported falling ill after dining at Noodlehead earlier this month. The inspection revealed numerous violations, including issues related to employee hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, and a lack of a certified food protection manager.

The ACHD has stated that a follow-up inspection needs to be scheduled within the next week. If the high and medium risk violations are not corrected during this inspection, Noodlehead will be required to close.

This is not the first time Noodlehead has faced such scrutiny. The previous consumer alert, also posted less than one month ago, highlighted similar violations. The health department's name for the health official responsible for the inspection of Noodlehead has not been disclosed.

As the situation unfolds, patrons and food enthusiasts alike are encouraged to stay informed and follow the ACHD's updates regarding Noodlehead. The health department's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community remains a top priority.
