Subaru Aids in Operation Warmth by Providing Coats and Shoes

Subaru of America, Inc. has expanded its Subaru Loves to Help® initiative with a new partnership with Operation Warm®. The aim of this collaboration is to provide children in need with essential clothing, offering them the opportunity to select and own brand-new necessities they deserve.

The 2024 Subaru Loves to Help campaign will kick off on January 17. Eight local community organizations and nonprofits will participate in the event, with Subaru and its retailers connecting and hosting donation events with shelters and support agencies in their local communities.

One such event will take place at Subaru of America headquarters in Camden, NJ, where nearly 1,000 children from the city will receive brand-new clothing items. Through gifting and drop-off events, children can personally select their new pieces of clothing, helping them feel a sense of pride and self-worth.

Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America, Inc., expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, "Programs like this are giving kids in urgent need the relief and confidence to socialize and succeed."

In the first year of the partnership, Subaru and its retailers nationwide aim to provide more than 150,000 children with essential clothing. Operation Warm, a national nonprofit that provides brand-new, high-quality coats and shoes for children in urgent need, will play a crucial role in this initiative.

Grace Sica, Executive Director of Operation Warm, emphasised the impact of such programs, saying, "These items are intended to help children stay warm and dry, and also to positively impact their mental and emotional well-being."

Subaru becomes the largest automotive supporter of Operation Warm through this partnership. To date, Subaru, through the partnership with Operation Warm, has helped more than 750,000 children and adults in urgent need (includes historical Subaru Loves to Help efforts).
