KoRo Trading GmbH, a popular online grocery retailer, has announced a recall of two of its vegan pesto varieties: "Vegan Pesto Verde" and "Vegan Pesto Rosso". The recall comes after foreign bodies, potentially glass, were found in individual jars of these products.
The affected products were sold via the KoRo online shop throughout Europe, as well as in stationary retail in Germany and Austria. The recall applies to batches sold between 17 March and 2 July 2025. The best before dates for "Vegan Pesto Verde" are 22 January 2027 and 13 February 2027, while "Vegan Pesto Rosso" has a best before date of 22 January 2027.
Customers who have purchased the affected products are advised not to consume them. Consumption of the affected pestos can lead to injuries due to the potential presence of glass fragments. The affected products can be identified by the EAN numbers: 4260335836804 for "Vegan Pesto Verde" and 4260335839560 for "Vegan Pesto Rosso".
