Withdrawn Sales of Specific Pistachios Due to Unspecified Reasons

The German subsidiary of IRECO TRADING & PRODUCTION S.A., a Luxembourg-based company, has initiated a recall of Clarkys brand roasted pistachios (250g) with batch number 7596 and a best before date of 10.03.2026. This action comes in response to a possible contamination with Salmonella.

The affected product was sold in Netto stores across several regions, including Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony, Hesse, Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, and Bremen.

Salmonella contamination in pistachios can lead to a range of health issues. Symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal pain, occasional vomiting, and mild fever. Severe cases may require medical attention, particularly for young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems.

Customers are advised not to consume the affected pistachios and can return them for a full refund at any Netto store. The return is possible even without a receipt.

It is important to note that only the specified batch (7596) with the given best before date (10.03.2026) is affected. Other batch numbers, best before dates, or other products of the "Clarkys" brand are not part of this recall.

Netto's website emphasises the need for caution, particularly for vulnerable groups, regarding the consumption of the affected pistachios.

For more information, customers can visit the Netto website or contact the company directly. It is essential to prioritise health and safety during this time.
