The Megino-Kangalassky District in Russia is set to host the "Together with Mom" yoga festival in August, an event designed specifically for young mothers and children aged 5 to 7.

Organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Social Communications of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), this festival is a cycle of free classes focusing on yoga exercises for relaxation, breathing, and concentration. The aim is to provide young mothers with the opportunity to spend quality time with their children while learning yoga.

The festival program includes a series of events in various villages across the district. For instance, on August 2nd at 15:00, the festival kicks off in Techtyur village, followed by events in Maya and Khara villages on August 3rd. The festival continues in Lower Bestyakh on August 5th and 7th, and concludes with a final festival event on August 9th from 08:00 to 16:00.

Transport will be provided from Lower Bestyakh to the tourist base and back for the participants.

The yoga sessions are tailored for mothers and children, with exercises aimed at developing physical abilities for the children and basic yoga exercises for mothers to continue practicing at home independently. The classes are designed to be interactive, enhancing bonding between mother and child through movement and play.

In addition to yoga classes, the festival program includes workshops or talks about health, wellness, and parenting. There will also be a psychologist available for discussions on child rearing.

Julia Sveshnikova, a certified yoga instructor and therapist, and the head of the "AyUs" yoga studio, is leading the project.

For the most accurate and detailed schedule, including dates, times, locations, and registration information, we recommend contacting the local community center or district administration office in Megino-Kangalassky District. They often provide flyers or online postings with full event details.

The festival events are free and are held as part of a grant from Rosmolodezh. Children perform exercises for posture, developing the muscles of the back, legs, and arms during the classes. The festival is a unique opportunity for young mothers and their children to engage in a fun and educational activity together.
